History:
APC history goes all the way back to the 1980s,
when current Chairman of APC,
Dr. Prem Lal Shrestha MD, Senior Consultant Orthopaedic
Surgeon, Fellow in Arthroscopic Surgery, trained
in Sports Medicine, trained in Ultrasonography,
established the Kathmandu Orthopaedic Clinic in
Putali Sadak. It's worth noting, that two of his
many achievements, is the establishment of the 'Nepal
Police Hospital' and being 'the' pioneer in 'Arthroscopic
Knee Surgery' in Nepal.
In 2002, he expanded his clinic to Kathmandu Orthopaedic
and Poly Clinic, shifting to Lazimpat. This clinic,
focused its services in Orthopaedics, Cardiology,
General Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology, ENT, Dermatology,
Acupuncture and others.
In 2007, Dr Prem Lal Shrestha together with his
son, Dr. Denis Shrestha MD, current Managing Director
of APC, Consultant Physician &
Cardiologist,
Interventional Cardiologist, Critical Care Specialist,
joined forces and expanded the clinic, renaming
it to what it's known as today “Advanced Poly
Clinic”.
Purchasing the latest in state of art medical equipment,
the clinic grew and relocated to a more modern facility
in Lazimpat, with ample private parking, redesigned
ambient interior, comfortable waiting areas, elevator
and executive lounge.
As the times and people's needs changed, so did
APC throughout it's history. Keeping up with ever
faster growing technology, having more than 20
years of experience in health care, and understanding
the needs and hearts of it's patients, allowed
Advanced Poly Clinic, with it's Motto “Art
of Healing”, to keep providing unparalleled
'World Renowned' medical services to its constantly
growing client base.
Contributions:
With strong values in serving people Kathmandu Orthopaedic
Clinic made several donations to different charities.
Donation of Medical equipments to hospitals and
free health camps. The money earned by APC will
be invested to make international health care available
