The cardiology department is one of the strongest departments at Advanced Poly Clinic. We have three consultant cardiologists backed up by a highly trained staff and all the latest state-of-the-art cardiology equipment.
Our Consultants:
Dr. Ramanee Vaidhya MD, PhD. Consultant physician and cardiologist.
8am to 11am Everyday. OPD time: 9am to 10am.
Dr. Rishi Khatri MBBS, MRCP (UK). Consultant physician and cardiologist.
3pm to 6pm Everyday, except Saturdays & Holidays. OPD time: 4pm-6pm.
Dr. Denis Shrestha MD. Consultant physician and cardiologist.
7am to 7pm. OPD time: 8am-1pm & 6pm-7pm. Except on Sundays.

Preventive cardiology health packages: Comprehensive cardiac check-up (CCC) and Quick cardiac check-up (QCC) are very popular at APC. Undergoing these tests regularly will give you a complete idea about the status of your heart. This will not only help you to gain control over any risk factors related to heart disease, but will also prevent a heart attack or stroke.

The state-of-the-art non-invasive cardiology lab at APC includes:
ECG (electrocardiogram) Machine: latest fully computerized and digital ECG Nihon Kohden (Japan) machine with computer
reporting.
ECHO (Echocardiography): latest fully digitalized Hitachi (Japan) ECHO machine with 2 Dimension, 3 dimension and
M-mode, Doppler & Colour Doppler, Tissue Doppler imaging facilities.
TMT (treadmill test- exercise stress ECG test) machine: Fully remote controlled by ECG machine, heavy duty treadmill
machine from Lode (Holland).
ABP (ambulatory blood pressure monitoring) is a 24 hours blood pressure (BP) monitoring device, which is used for
monitoring BP over a duration of 24 hours and is useful for the diagnosis of Hypertension (HTN) and the adequacy of BP control under present
medications.
HOLTER (24 hours ambulatory ECG monitoring): this device is used to monitor the rhythm of the heart for 24 or 48 hours,
and is very useful for the diagnosis of rhythmic abnormalities in the heart (arrhythmias). Some Arrhythmias are life threatening and can cause sudden
death.
PFT (pulmonary function test): Spirometry equipment for assessing the functionality of the lungs and respiration.

APC has started to implement JCI (Joint Commission International) guidelines and clauses for international standard healthcare and patient safety. We have set our target to get accredited by 2012, which will make APC the only polyclinic in Southeast Asia with such accreditation. read more>>
